Wedding
Your Wedding is probably one of the most important events in your life. This day you will remember for the rest of your life. You have spent a significant time to plan for this event. And the day is finally here. From the moment you wake up till the end of the night, you will hardly have any time to see what is happening. If you plan ahead and get a good photographer for this day, he will record the day for you to cherish the rest of life.
A good photographer and videographer will capture this day for you. You will re-live this day over and over again through pictures. Photographers are able to capture images you won’t be able to see at the event. Over the years these pictures will bring back memories of your friends and relatives at the event. If budget is not an issue, a videographer is a great way to enhance this day.
Photography and Videography are two sides of the same coin. It is an art only a few possess. In order to have a smooth/trouble free event, you should hire only the best in the industry. It is important for you to meet and talk with the actual photographer and see if you are comfortable with this individual. A good photographer will be your friend before the event, during the event, and after the event.
After you have selected a photographer, talk with him about the day. Ask him about the prices, packages etc. Ask him how long he keeps his works etc.
It is very important for you to realize that the photographer is there for you and to capture your best moments. So be patient and work with him/her. With your help, He/She will achieve great results.
Child Portraits
This can be a challenging day for some parents. In my experience, it can be the most exciting and challenging day for parents and photographers. One important thing to bear in mind is that you must be ready for occasional tantrums and crying. When this happens parents should calm the child down by giving them their favorite toy to catch their attention.
Young children (under five for example) are not conscious or aware of the camera. You need to be prepared to giving them something to get their attention. I like for example, parents read their favorite funny stories while I watch this from a distance. The minute the child get happy and do belly laughs, I will be snapping pictures. Some of the best child shots I’ve captured so far are at the child’s house, back yard, and parks.
Photographing babies can be a little more work. Babies usually get bored quickly and will not want to stay in one position. Parents should have lots of toys around the babies or at least the favorite ones. I usually recommend a light color background for baby portraits. Parents help will be needed quiet often during the shoot. For ex. Kids tend to put their fingers in their mouth. This is cute but on most occasions this can obscure the face. Remember this, you are dealing with someone who is absolutely his/her own master and you are at their grace to get the perfect snap.
